the cas are finally over...

some updates on my life...

made pineapple tarts 2 weeks b4 the cas... it wasn't too nice cos something went wrong with the crust. didn't achieve the melt in your mouth effect...

had our last anat tut w our tutor Dr G Yip... our tutor is great!!! we all love him.. :D

had my first hospital visit to TTSH juz a week before cas... we were supposed to try n make a diagnosis by asking the patient relevent questions... turned out to be a rather amusing sight... 16 of us crowded around the patient's bed, with liangyi being the questioner... obviously we didn't look like doctors since she kept saying "ni3 men2 hui4 meh?". then instead of answering to liangyi's repeated attempts to get some info n history, she rattled off about how her son was a doctor too n tt nus med students "hen3 li4 hai4"... haha nice lady she was... extremely patient with us... at the end of it, we managed to come up w the diagnosis... pancreatitis... it was certainly a good learning experiance. i realised it really isn't as easy as it seems to get info from ur patient. n the factor about confidence, to be able to get ur patient to trust tt u are capable of handling the situation...

it's a strange feeling to describe, but as i stood in the wards in my white coat, it dawned upon me that this is for real... it's like i'm tt much nearer to fulfilling my childhood dream...
